Human Rights lawyer, Inibehe Effiong, has frowned at journalists and the general public for consistently making errors while spelling his name.
According to him, misspelling his first name wrongly, like Inihebe, Inebehe, Iniebehe, not Enibehe or any other erroneous spelling ‘has become a source of irritation for me. This misnomer has been going on for too long.’

I think it is time I state this publicly. I am tired of some of my friends in the media misspelling my first name. It has become a source of irritation for me. This misnomer has been going on for too long.

Effiong has promised to ignore any mail etc which showcases his name wrongly spelt.
