Defending Champions Sevilla took the lead through full back Aleix Vidal. Vidal scored after been picked by Carlos Becca as he lashed in the ball from the edge of the box. Before he scored, the visiting Fiorentina has the better of play and good number of chances but failed to capitalise on them and were eventually punished for it. Vidal scored again after the break and Kevin Gameiro who came off the bench added another after 28 seconds to make it 3-0. Two goals scored by full back Aleix Vidal made it five he has scored so far.
The next leg will be played next week thursday. And record has it that no body has won the Europa or Uefa Cup competition four times. Sevilla has won it previously 2006 & 2007.
