Ekun Samuel, 17 June 2015.

In a game that saw Angel Di Maria, Lionel Messi and Sergio Aguero all started up front. A second half header in the 52nd from Manchester City striker Sergio Aguero gave Argentina a narrow win.

The cross came from compatriot Zabaleta and neatly converted by a header from Sergio Aguero to give Argentina a 1-0  victory over defending Champions Uruguay in the ongoing Copa America. Argentina drew their first game against Paraguay, while Paraguay on the other game won their match against Jamaica to earn them four points together with Argentina in group B.

However, Diego Rolan should have equalised for Uruguay but blazed over from eight yards.

It also took a good block late on to keep out a header from Uruguay skipper Diego Godin, while Hull City’s Adel Hernandez had a side-foot effort brilliantly clawed out by Sergio Romero.

The victory made it Argentina 82nd win over their counterpart Uruguay.
