Jose Mourinho was asked about the Belgian in the build-up to a Champions League clash last two season, Mourinho let it all out: “With Kevin, I didn’t like the match he played against Swindon and I didn’t like the way he was training.” The manager then stood up and walked out.
Kevin de Bruyne signed for Chelsea from Belgian side Genk 2012 for a reported £6.7m where he began his career as a regular player as they won the 2010-11 Belgian Pro League. He was eventually loaned back to Genk for the remainder of the season, six months. After series of loans he eventually found his way into the Chelsea senior team in 2013/2014 season, but unfortunately couldn’t find favour in the eyes of Jose Mourinho where he made sparingly nine appearances in all competitions for the Blues. He was then sold the Bundesliga side Wolfsburg January 2014 for £18m deal.
The young Belgian 23 years old has gone on to prove himself as a top quality reliable player suited enough for any top team in Europe. Manchester United and PSG has both made their interest in pursuit of the young quality Belgian international who is now €49m, twice the money used in purchasing his services from Chelsea. Kevin de bruyne made instant  impact and success at the Bundesliga side who had faith in him. He scored 15 goals and made an incredible 25 assists in all competitions for his team, making him the player with the most assists in Europe last season including Lionel Messi and Cesc Fabregas. And was nicknamed ‘King Of Assist’ in Germany.
Kevin de Bruyne helped his team as they rounded off a successful season  by beating Borussia Dortmund to win the DFB – Pokal for the first time with goals from Luis Gustavo, Bas Dost and himself.
De Bruyne who has established himself as Europe’s Premier creator with a work ethic to match, is been regarded as one of Europe’s best young player. With his performances making the air waves, Manchester City are also interested in his signature along side Manchester United and PSG. De Bruyne said of Manchester City making an informal approach to his agent and demands anyone who is interested in him should go through the club and not through it him or his agent.
He was quoted in one of his interviews as saying; “When I play football, I have fun,” the Belgian has said. When he left Chelsea, he lamented that he had “lost his joy”.
De Bruyne is well on performing when it comes to the big stage as against Bayern Munich in January, he scored twice and setting up another in a resounding 4-1 victory, he ran 5.59 kilometres in total when the Bavarians had the ball, second only to Luiz Gustavo. He made 76 sprints, more than anybody on either team, and won possession back six times.
De Bruyne has made his desire known of not returning to the bridge by saying; “I think, to be honest, I would not return to Chelsea as long as he is in charge,” said the midfielder of the Portuguese.
Could Manuel Pelligrini and Luis Van Gal be using this approach of getting Kevin de Bruyne to hurt and hunt down Mourinho who recently has secure the services for Falcao to prove Falcao was not well nurtured at Old Trafford under Luis Van Gal?
