The Honorable Commissioner For Health, Cross River State, Dr. (Mrs.) Inyang Asibong has assured the Association of Public Health of Nigeria (APHPN) Cross River State chapter of collaboration in their activities despite the state 's lean resources.
According to Dr. Asibong, "the collaboration and support of the Public Health Medical Practitioners has started", stressing that the state government will always work together with the Association to ensure enhanced health care services for the citizenry.
She felt honored and happy with the visit by the state chapter of executive health physicians, describing them as members of her primary constituency and colleagues.
On the planned Annual General Meeting and conference slated for March, 2016, Dr. Asibong promised to attend with a view to making needed impact during the conference.
Earlier, the state chairman of the Association, Dr. (Mrs.) Nkese Nkpanam who led other executive members heartily congratulated and rejoiced with Dr. Asibong on her well deserved appointment.
Dr. Nkpanam said they were confident that the state will greatly benefit from the wealth of experience, professional competence excellent human and organizational management capabilities of Dr. Asibong.
PARTNERSHIP WITH MEDICAL WOMEN ASSOCIATION OF NIGERIA.
Similarly, Dr. Asibong has assured the Medical Women Association Of Nigeria, Cross River State Branch of the ministry 's readiness to partner with them at all times on their various programmes, which she described as very rich.
The chairperson of the Medical Women Association Of Nigeria, Cross River State Branch, Dr. Ani Nchiewe had earlier intimated Dr. Asibong on their various activities which includes school outreach, career counseling, sex education, cancer screening, religious and community outreaches, media chat among others. She congratulated Dr. Asibong on her elevation as members of the state executive Council.
