'In Cross River State, Governor Benedict Ayade like every other Governors came in to office last year and within a year he has been able to set up a cloth making factory. It is working. The youths of Cross River State are also undergoing training'.

Comrade Ini-Obong Uko
February, 2016

In the attempt to compel his state government under the leadership of Gov. Emmanuel Udom of Akwa Ibom State to consider prioritising the economic development of his state, a student activist, Comrade Ini-Obong Uko, made the above statement in an article titled: 'A Call On Akwa Ibom State Government to Contribute to National Economy Development'.

It was in the said article that Comrade Uko revealed that:' In my state, a ground breaking was done for an Automobile Factory to be set up. Last I passed the site, it has grown into a thick forest'. The first statement by Comrade Uko especially where he said: 'Ayade like every other Governors came in to office last year and within a year he has been able to set up a cloth making factory. It is working' suggest that he has been successfully deluded by Ayade's media team. However, when one considers his closing remarks in the same article which reads thus: 'Hehehehe…just been informed that Ben Ayade's Textile Industry is another government lie. Contrary to what I saw on network news) Please let's work and not politicize our projects.' you will readily agree with me that Comrade Uko was only being sarcastic in his entire article.

The implication is that the Executive Governor of Cross River State, His Excellency Sen. Prof. Ben Ayade, is beginning to have an national infamy for being a public servant who is deceitful and deliberately dishonest.

I, along with other critics had made the point that Ayade's media aides comprising Christian Ita, Declan Ogar-Genesis, Inok Solomon, Eval Asikong, Emmanuel Ulayi, etc are doing him no service but disservice. They need training and retraining or outright sacking. I make this recommendation not being oblivious of the fact that Governor Ben Ayade is worst than they all. Besides the fact that his media aides don't know how to launder their principal, truth be told, in the actual sense, there is nothing to write home about in the present state political administration under Ayade.

I am calling on Ben Ayade to desist from misconstruing reality especially with tax payers' money. He should get back to the drawing board and identify where he first missed it. It may not be too late to withdraw from the route of anticipated shame of national degree.
