In as much as the primary role of the opposition is to keep the government in power on their toes and to ensure the delivery of campaign promises to the teaming masses; cognisance must be taken into the current state of affairs in Nigeria today.

Today, Nigeria isn't the giant of Africa it once was. Our pride and shoulders have fallen just as oil prices have drastically dropped. The Government is merely struggling to survive, maintain its structure and fulfill it's campaign promises.

In times like this, the government needs our support, it needs prayers, it needs all hands to be on deck despite party or ethnic lines to propel us out of the dark times we have found ourselves.

We need to come together, proffer ideas, initiate plans to help your state and country Nigeria. Salaries are yet to be paid while prices of goods and services have skyrocketed. The price of fuel is increasing by the day and God's given water has turned to gold.

In our years of plenty, we squandered and cared less about tomorrow, our parents raped the treasury without thoughts about their children and future generations.

What we need now are not baseless criticisms but, criticisms founded on solutions and sound panacea that will uplift us from our quagmire and marsh of economic diarrhoea and instability.
We were first Nigerians before party men.
