The Honourable Commissioner for Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), Mr. Oliver Orok yesterday convened a stakeholders' meeting to consult, take stock of experience to date from different ministries, inclusive of the Ministry of Health, and to step up modalities in achieving Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
Present at the meeting were Mr Oliver Orok -SDGs Commissioner, Dr. Mrs. Inyang Asibong -Health Commissioner, Mrs. Alice Olok Ekwu -Climate Change/Forestry Commissioner, Mrs. Stella Odey -Women Affairs Commissioner and Mr Asu Okang -Youth and Sports Development Commissioner.
On her part, the Lead Advisor to the Governor on SDGs, Hon. Nkoyo Toyo informed the various ministries that every activity of each ministry especially in terms of blueprint must reflect the disposition to ensure that the Sustainable Development Goals are achievable in the state.
The said stakeholders' meeting is to be conveyed quarterly and action reported to the Governor on necessary progress.
