Yesterday, a Surveyor simply known as Ukpe went to the garment factory location to register his displeasure about the illegal land grabbing around the vicinity closest to the garment factory.

According to reliable information, the garment factory land were given to the governor even before he was sworn in as governor to use develop the garment factory. The community that donated the land donated it because of the promise the governor made to them that he will open up the place with roads so as to increase the value of the lands in that area. They were also promised that a percentage of the people to be employed into the factory will be given to them.

However, the government of Cross River State shifted its beacons into other lands just closest to the garment factory. The community surveyor then went there to tell His Excellency, Co-Governor Frank Ayade that they were wrong to have used their discretion to encroach into other lands. That since the new land that was grabbed was not part of the original master plan, the government must have to compensate the land owners.

The surveyor, who came with other community leaders undermined the brut power the co-governor yields in the cabinet of his brother, Governor Ben Ayade. Before the man could conclude his assignment of registering his resentment, the de facto governor, His Excellency Frank Ayade, ordered his security details to pounced on the man with some dirty stars reeling slaps.

They kicked him to the ground, and pounded him blue black with military boots. It took the efforts of other community representatives to separate the fight which was getting out of hand. When His Excellency saw the gravity of the issue, he went down on his knees begging that the surveyor shouldn't talk to the press. The man was promised compensation both on the land and for bantering.

Recalled that on the 3rd of May I reported a bantering of a young man who went to the garment factory to take pictures. This will be perhaps the second time if not more that Co-governor Frank may have issued instructions for the beating up of Cross Riverians at the garment factory location.
