As part of the conditions to retain his freedom, the EFCC has asked erstwhile Governor Liyel Imoke the option to return the 500 Million Naira he got from the DiezeniGate.

Liyel who is presently so shaken already has been going around looking for ways to raise the 500 Million Naira. Reliable information from the State House revealed that Governor Ben Ayade has concluded arrangements to put in 300 Million Naira.

The source went further to reveal that members of the Federal House of Representatives and Senate from CRS has been contacted to contribute to the aggregation of the balance of 200 Million Naira. The State House of Assembly members are not exempted too.

In a phone conversation with the informant, it was not however clear where the governor got 300 Million Naira to contribute to the DiezeniGate.

Is the governor using State funds to fiance Liyel Imoke from going to jail? It is sad that while Cross River State is struggling with waste everywhere in the metropolis, our governor is using 300 Million Naira for a "Liyel Imoke Stay Out of Prison Initiative", other than going to buy waste evacuation and recycling equipment

Only time will tell.
