One Donald Ekpo, a social media user, and presumably a Cross Riverian, has contributed his part in the ongoing Halliburton scandal rocking some power centres in Aso Rock.
In a post titled: Attack the Message not the Messenger, Mr Ekpo has asked the wife of the President, Aisha Buhari, implicated in the scandal to call for a press conference, and tweet a refutal denying any involvement in the scandal. Besides, Gov Peter Fayose has reportedly asked the wife of the President, Aisha, to take a trip to the US to prove her innocence. Below is an excerpt of his post:
ATTACK THE MESSAGE NOT THE MESSENGER.
In the absence of an available Presidential Jet to ferry Awa First Lady to Obodo Oyibo due to high cost of aviation fuel, can Madam Aisha Buhari do us a favor and:
1. Call for a PRESS CONFERENCE to deny that she is a different Aisha Buhari from the FUGITIVE that is wanted in the US? Or
2. Tweet a refutal from her twitter verified handle stating clearly that she is not the Fugitive Aisha Buhari.
It is better to deal with the message and not the messenger. Is that one also difficult?
