In the spirit of togetherness and mutual understanding, some group of Teachers Union have resorted to what they conceive as a more potent way in reaching the ears of the Government of Akwa Ibom State.
According to LIB, the Teachers union held a fasting and praying session yesterday Saturday, at the Ibom Plaza in Uyo.
The issues raised amongst others was the inability of the present administration to post them to schools where they would display their teaching skills.
Laying credence to our source, The teachers argued that they received appointment letters from the State Secondary Education Board(SUBEB) last year but with their appointment letters, they have not been posted to any school to teach.
Months after waiting to no avail, they decided to take their case to God so he can touch the heart of the state governor, Mr Udom Emmanuel .
In response to the teachers request, the state Governor on the contrary, insisted that the teachers who according to him are complaining are those with fake appointment letters.
But we question the validity of such response as we can only wonder why people with a supposedly fake document could present a bold front rather than hide for fear of being arrested and shamed?
More interesting is the fact that the 'protest' was calculated and held in a Government public facility were all eyes would behold.
I smell a rat somewhere!
Your excellency Sir, It appears to me that there is a cover up somewhere, someone is not being truthful.. I can only hope its not who I suppose.
