Big Sam Allardyce was appointed new England boss due to the resignation of Roy Hodgson after a disappointing Euros 2016. He knows the stakes are high as he prepares for a massive turn around, due to the fact England have experienced woes to their previous campaigns and lack of the capacity to challenge at the big stages of competition with teams of calibre as theirs.
The former Bolton Wanderers manager is already planning ahead of a new shape of things as he considers the recall of former England captain John Terry with the England squad. He is set to name his England squad on Sunday ahead of their trip to Slovakia with World Cup 2018 qualifier's match September 4th.
The 61 year old big Sam is also set to name his new skipper this week, not stating if Wayne Rooney will remain as the skipper or not. He was once again asked if John Terry would be considered for the England squad, Allardyce said: "I don't know what the political side of that might mean, if there is a political side. I'll have to have that conversation if I feel that John Terry may be a possibility.
"I think it depends on what John said. Maybe if I get the opportunity, I might have to give him a ring. But until I come to that selection or that process, we'll wait and see."
The 35 year old John Terry would no doubt be a huge boost for the morale of the team, but considering his age and the fact he hasn't feature for England since 2012 after been charged by FA. His last game was against Moldova which England won 5-0, and has won 78 caps for England so far.
Would John Terry be able to handle the responsibility of playing for both country and club?
