Cross River State chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), recently pledged its absolute loyalty and support to the state governor, Senator Ben Ayade.

According to one of the media aides of the Governor, Mr Emmanuel Ulayi, the party, in a statement issued in Calabar and signed by its Publicity Secretary, Mr. Egbung, lauded the governor for what it described as his sterling performance in office.

'As we await the Supreme Court verdict on your eligibility, on December 9, we do so with so much hope and excitement, even as we prepare and rehearse for the biggest celebration of your ultimate victory… In the last one of your administration, you have demonstrated in both words and action your unwavering commitment to turn around the economy of the state through industrialisation and infrastructural development. We are more than convinced that you will see through your vision for our dear state.', Egbung confessed.

Ulayi Continuing noted that, the state PDP, while reechoing the position of Governor Ayade to promote the welfare of the state's workforce, with prompt and regular payment of salaries, said: "It is particularly instructive that while many of your counterparts across the the country are grappling with the challenges of paying salaries of their workers, you have made it one of the cardinal points of your policy as a governor. You have not only succeeded in paying salaries , you have equally demonstrated an uncanny ability to manage resources and persons."
While lauding the governor for running an inclusive government, the part said: "Again, while other states are busy laying off workers, you have shown yours is an administration with a human face. You expanded government not because the state has so much but because you care so much by  providing a shoulder for the not so strong to lean on."

The party which urged Ayade to remain focused and not be distracted by those bent on distracting him from attaining his lofty vision for the state further said: "As a party, we urge you not to be distracted by those whose pastime is to cause disaffection within the polity, but to remain resolute as God is on the throne to rule inn the affairs of men. In due course, the ultimate victory is certain and we shall roll out the drums to dance the jiggida dance of  victory. We are with you from start to finish.", the report concluded.
