'As the world celebrates this year's World Breast Cancer Day, the government of Cross River and indeed non governmental organizations must begin to sensitize our women on the need to have a regular check up of their breast examination to avoid breast cancer or have early detection of the disease.
'Our women, must be taught on how to check their breast. They should be advised on checking their breast daily to avoid or report any form of growth within the breast region. Regular treatment should be provided for those with the ailment.
'Breast Cancer control programs should be carried out. Our local women, girl child and the general female gender should be carterd for and those living with the disease be given adequate medical attention through government intervention of drugs(medications) that will help reduce the growth or spread of the ailment.
'As the women of Cross River State join the rest of the world in celebrating this year's World Breast Cancer Day, I plead with the government of Cross River State through the Ministry of Health and Department of Primary Health-Care Development Agency to please come to the aid of one Glory Nsa who is currently battling Breast Cancer.
God bless!
