After missing out on a couple of players such as Napoli's centre back Koulibaly, and Roman Radja Nainggolan, Chelsea boss Antonio Conte has his option sets right.

The Italian Chelsea boss is gradually building a formidable and compact team. He succeeded in keeping all of Chelsea stars intact, the same team with lacklustre display last season which ends the team in a disastrous tenth position last season. Antonio Conte has come in to advert such unpleasant circumstance from happening this season. He had number of targets been rebuffed earlier this season in the transfer market,   yet he has successfully being able to inculcate his idea and philosophy  of football to his existing squad.

Conte and Chelsea have turned their attention and interest in the pursuit of Inter Milan's Geoffrey Kondogbia. And he is the type of player that fits Conte pattern of football.

Kondogbia is reportedly unhappy at the San Siro and is looking to leave Inter this winter, especially following the disastrous start to the season which has already seen the dismissal of former Chelsea player Frank De Boer as manager.

The 23-year-old central midfielder appeals to Antonio Conte due to his versatility which allows him to operate as a centre-half or at left-back. Something that would give Conte more options and add flare to his pattern of football.

Chelsea have been linked with the powerful Frenchman in recent times but a report in the Daily Mirror suggests they are pondering a January transfer swoop.
