A leading agency of the United Nations, the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) is embarking on an anti HIV/AIDS campaign in Calabar, Cross River State capital city as a way of creating sensitisation on the medical pandemic.

That 30-days campaign is codified WISE UP CROSS RIVER and embodies advocating for sexual abstinence, engaging in protected sex, counseling, distribution of contraceptives, etc.

The Cross River Head Office of UNFPA is partnering with Ministry of Health, Mediatrix Development Foundation, Cross River State Primary Healthcare Development Agency, etc in this #WiseupCrossRiver campaign.

According to one of the organisers of the event ‘At #WiseUpCRS we plan to distribute 500, 000 units of condom. That would be double the accomplishment at the #Condomze Swaziland campaign.
