Yesterday, 12th April is designated, though informally, International Day for the Street Child. The 2017 theme is ‘This us our time’. This year witnessed the United Nations making a General Comment on the right of the street child.

Tuesday, 11th April Achievers Wisdom House in partnership CLICE Foundation and Women That Lead celebrated with Street Children in Calabar, Cross River State capital city.
The celebration was tagged ‘Operation Clean-up the Street Child’. It saw these three NGOs shaving the hairs, giving change of clothes, feeding, counseling discussing, and dancing with the street children. The event held at Peace Park.

Wednesday 12th April the duo of Achievers Wisdom House and Women that Lead were state owned broadcasting house, Cross River Broadcasting Corporation (CRBC), in the early hours of the day where they featured at CRBC Good Morning Cross River and CRBC Radio in a 10 minutes sensitisation talk before the reading of the news by 10AM.
