C’River becomes essential medicines S/S zonal hub as Health Boss to reactivate state Essential Drug Programme

In a bid to revamp the Essential Drugs Programme (EDP) in the State following the recent nomination of Cross River State as the zonal hub of essential medicines for the South South region of the country due to her track record of excellence in pharmaceutical commodities distributions and storage, the Hon. Commisssioner for Heath, Dr Inyang Asibong, recently embarked on a facility tour of Nemel Pharmaceutical Company, Enugu State. 
Dr Asibong showered encomiums on the company as she assured that with their level of commitment and dexterity more states will partner with them. She further hinted that a collaboration between CalaPharm and Nemel will open more windows of opportunities as the State is also working towards becoming a health resort and a medical tourism State with the launch of AyadeCare setting the pace in this regard.
While the General Manager of CalaPharm, Pharm. Dan Michael expressed his satisfaction at the level of shrewdness and professionalism shown by Nemel given the established professional working standard and business ethics of Calapharm. 
The group Managing Director and the CEO of Nemel Pharmaceutical company, Pharm. Prince Nnaemeka Ugwu assured the firm is willing to give all the necessary support to the State from training, technical support, professional supervision etc to ensure the success of CalaPharm. Prince Nnaemeka assured the firm will also collaborate with the State in the supply of quality drugs for EDP. He thanked the Cross River State Delegation for coming and promised to reciprocate their gesture.
The move is also geared towards establishing a working relationship between both States as the CRSG prepare for the launch of the Calabar Pharmaceutical Company (CalaPharm) and AYADECARE within the last quarter of the year.
