Primary Health Facilities receives Commodities to Boast Youth Friendly Services in the State

Cross River State Primary Healthcare Development Agency under the able leadership of Dr Betta Edu has so far received commodities to improve the youth friendliness of Primary Healthcare facilities for youth friendly health services NegroidHaven can report.
The project which is supported by Family Health International (FHI360) is a three years programme (2015-2018) implemented to run in Cross River State.
Speaking, Dr Betta Edu said the project is aimed at ensuring that adolescents leave secondary school with the requisite sexual reproductive health knowledge, care, assets and credentials for maximizing their life potentials. 
She lauded FHI for already training 16 Health Care Workers from the four selected Primary Health Centres on youth friendly health services provision. 
"The project also known as FOUR PILLARS PLUS  will address early pregnancy, early marriage, School related Gender Based Violence, strengthen Adolescent Sexual Reproductive Health and Menstrual Hygiene Management through a collaborative effort with the selected Primary Healthcare Centers around the project communities  and health clubs within project school to increase the potential of adolescents to protect their sexual and Reproductive health said Dr Edu.
Meanwhile the following items; Weighing Scale, thermometer, Sphygmomanometer, hospital bed screen, meter rules, drugs for minor ailments, disinfectants, indoor games items like Scrabble Board, Ludo, Card, Bull eye game, Snake and Ladder Game, first aid box, suggestion box and a lot more  were delivered to the anchor health facilities in CHC Ikot Otu Ibuot, Adiabo, PHC Ewa Ekeng, PHC Ikot Ansa, PHC Nelson Mandela.
Also the selected school for the youth friendly centers includes Government Secondary School (GSS), Adiabo, GSS Henshaw Town, GSS Atu, and GSS Federal Housing Estate.
