An influential Nigerian Christian preacher, Pastor Joseph Ifeanyichukwu Okoro, the Senior Pastor of Bible Christian Crusaders Mission (BCCM) headquartered in Cross River State capital has expressed his candid reservation against religion, Sunday, NegroidHaven can authoritatively inform.
The preacher said that he has reservations against religion because it breeds irresponsibility. Pastor Okoro made his mind known while addressing the youths of his church as they rounded a three day programme titled, 'Destiny Conference', themed 'The Path of Destiny'.
His words, 'I have a problem with religion; and that is, religion is irresponsible; it makes people not to take responsibility for their lives.'
Pastor Okoro further charged the youths to take responsibility for their lives by impacting their minds positively. He told them to stop talking about a future, that they should start creating the future. He informed them of the preparation time they have exhausted and tasked them towards action.
'You are the hope of Africa. But that can only happen if you will take your place and fill your mind with might and substance.
'As I travel, I see young people doing exploits. I pray to God that Nigerian youths will take their place.
'The time to take charge is now; the time of preparation has expired!
'Stop singing I have a future. Start creating the future.'
He endorsed the #NottooYoungtoRun Bill by positing that, 'I like the NottooYoungtoRun bill ongoing… Your are not too young to be president; your are not too young to be Governor; to sit on the board of companies, etc' .
