With the looming imminence of local government polls in Cross River State any moment from now, there’s this frenzy of aspirants especially of the PDP folk to woo the Executive Governor of and leader of the PDP in Cross River State, Gov Ben Ayade, to their political disposition NegroidHaven has observed.
The duo of Mr Paul Ishabor Esq, PDP chairmanship aspirant in Ogoja LGA and Mr Pius K. Osang, a PDP councillorship aspirant in Abo Ward in Boki LGA have been confirmed to woo Governor Ben Ayade in respect of their individual political ambitions.

He is an Abo Ward, PDP councillorship aspirant. Mr Osang has, in the attempt of wooing Gov Ayade, converted his wardrobe to clothing style typical of the Executive Governor —the Eastern-type flowing, collarless gown.
In fact, a journalist, Mr George Odok Jnr, even referred to him as —’Young Ayade’, for obvious reasons. According to Odok, ‘The young man is fondly called ‘Young Ayade’ little wonder he dresses like Ayade himself’. Hmmm!
Paul Ishabor…
Is the Ogoja LGA PDP Chairmanship aspirant. He is loved by students, youths in Ogoja. In fact, NegroidHaven has garnered that the Governor and PDP hierarchy in the state are more orientedtowards him because he’s a youth.
Ishabor was seen, in this year’s edition of Bakor New Yam Festival, to welcome His Excellency in a large drop down banner (with bold and big pictures of himself Ishabor and Gov Ayade at both ends of the banner —Chairmanship aspirant!?
Later, Ishabor would pose with a henchman of Ayade and kitchen cabinet member in the present state administration, Honourable Commissioner for Youths and Sports Development, Comrade Asu Okang during the same events. Comr Okang is of Etung; granted that he is a state figure and has colleagues across board, it seem more to NegroidHaven that Okang would have found his way to Bakor in Ogoja during the new Yam festival at the auspices of Ishabor.
An ally of Ishabor, Comr Abang Ogon, would summarise the purpose of Okang to Bakor in the following suggestive words —’Commissioner for Youth and Sports Comr Asu Okang and Barr Paul Ishabor, the youths spoke in unison and the Commissioner took the message, Paul Ishabor all the way’: the question is, Okang, evidently the ear of His Excellency is taking the message to whom? Your guess is as good as mine.
Their wooing of the state boss is obviously and particularly in respect of party primary. They obviously covert the ‘blessing’ of the number one party member of the PDP in Cross River.
Politics in Nigeria is certainly by the bourgeois, for the bourgeois and of the bourgeois —Bourgeoicracy! The proletariat… Hmmm! So sorry for them!
