L-R: Miss Perpetual Adie and Art work of Gov Ben Ayade
Efio-Ita Nyok|6 October 2017

The Northern Cross River Cultural Festival tagged NorthFest 2017 has generated its own pack of criticism including the pageantry were Miss Perpetua Adie and Mr Sylvester Unimashi Ubom, both emerged winners of the maiden edition of the pageantry of the cultural event.
The controversy trailing the NorthFest Pageantry is characterised by disagreements over perceived nepotism, tribalism and as usual emotional attachments. Concerning nepotism, there are talks about the governor’s family high-jacking the pageantry by determining who becomes what and how especially especially on who crowns sit; on tribalism, there’s insinuation that non of the winners of the NorthFest 2017 pageantry are anywhere close to the five local government areas of Northern Cross River beginning from Ogoja, Obudu, Yala, Bekwarra and Obanliku; and finally, it’s rumored though maliciously that an inlaw of the governor is befriending the present Queen of Miss NorthFest.
She drew the governor Ben Ayade causing hysteria!

How person where pound Yam for inside pot (?) go call Dat thing creativity?

Queen Adie standing proudly by her creative genius!

NegroidHaven embarked on an independent investigation of its own and has arrived at the conclusion that some of the insinuations already peddled in town are regrettably malicious especially considering that Miss Adie the incumbent queen is adjudged to have performed to the positive thrill of the crowd and guests at the event.
NegroidHaven has garnered that both parents of incumbent Miss NorthFest are from Obudu LGA precisely Bette clan as against rumours saying she’s only maternally from Obudu but paternally from Etung; that Miss NorthFest has always gone by the name Perpetual E. Adie contrary to rumours insisting her real name is Perpetua Takim Neil —this is an expert lie from a pathological liar; that she’s former Face of Culture Obudu and former Miss Northern Cross River —why didn’t these crowns cause controversy? NegroidHaven has learnt that the previous crowns may not have caused controversy because Adie didn’t get the prizes attached to the crown; that Adie isn’t the mistress of the said governor’s in law, his real mistress is his lawfully wedded wife; it was discovered that there’s a defining moment in Miss Adie’s presentation at the pageantry that made the difference in who becomes the winner —her art work!
Pictures, they say, don’t lie; so, I will be featuring in this publication the art work about the governor that Miss Adie painted with her fingers within 5 minutes live on the stage of the competition with Adie standing proudly by it. I learnt that during the creativity competition, one of the contestants brought yams, piston and pot and started pounding the Yam in the pot —holy jeez! Is that creativity!? Hmmm!
Miss Adie granted NegroidHaven an exclusive interview which will be coming up shortly. Meanwhile, let’s give Miss NorthFest 2017 a standing ovation. Congratulations Her Majesty!
