In his recent and damming 'Why was Ayade Crying? —by Simon Utsu' where ace social commentator highlights four possible reasons why His Excellency, Prof Ben Ayade, Executive Governor of Cross River state cried in public while signing the whooping N1. 3 Trillion budget, Utsu has said that the Governor's expression of emotions in public is "affecting the plethora of Cross Riverians 'scattered’ within and outside the country."

Utsu also noted that the tears may be as a result of the state governor realising that he's failed as a Governor already.
His words,  'During the week, the governor of Cross River state signed the 1.3 trillion Naira budget of “kinetic crystallization” into law.
'What made that occasion newsworthy was the fact that Ayade inexplicably wept like a baby whilst putting pen to paper. Till date, he hasn’t told us why he did what he did; he has left that at the mercy of our imaginations and being someone with a somewhat wild imagination, let me make four guesses.
'1. Could it be possible that the governor was smoking the best brand of weed ever and hence, couldn’t help but shed tears of joy? We’ve watched several videos (on social media) of grown up men crying whilst smoking weed due to it’s sweetness, not too long ago, we saw a video of an American guy sobbing whilst smoking weed and in-between puffs and sobs, saying “this sh*t is so good”. So could that have been the reason why my governor was sobbing? Well, I doubt!
'2. It’s also no longer news that my governor has been unwell for a over two months or thereabouts. Maybe he is still in pains as a result of whatever treatment he underwent. We only heard the rumors even though he’s supposed to declare his illness to us( if at all there’s any) so we pray for him accordingly. If this was the case, I wish him a quick recovery. But I’m also doubting that this was the reason for his wailing 😭.
'3. Could it be because he has struggled to live up to expectation with time running out? You know if you’re writing a “promotion exam” which is scheduled to run for 4 hours and three hours down the line, you’ve only answered Question 1a(out of 5 questions) and you hear the new invigilator saying “45 minutes to go”, hot tears could begin to roll down your face —knowing already that F-9 is your portion. Maybe that’s also not the case.
'4. Ayade still doesn’t believe he’s governor of Cross River state three years down the line —he still thinks it’s a dream —reason why he publicly sheds tears of joy and ‘gratitude’ every other time.
'David knew decades ahead that he was going to be King over Israel likewise Joseph. Oftentimes, real leaders know ahead of time that they would assume leadership positions. This I believe is God’s way of preparing them psychologically and otherwise so they don’t get overwhelmed when the time comes.
'This third imagination seems the most likely. Ayade should know that this his ridiculous public showings of emotions is affecting the plethora of Cross Riverians ‘scattered’ within and outside the country. I’m tired of being poked every now and then in public and asked about my governor’s strange demeanor or gimmicks. Today it is “Your Governor Na guy man oh, he wore Nike bandana and Versace short knicker on TV”, tomorrow it is “Hmm, what’s the meaning of kinetic crystallization or infinite transposition”.
BLOGGERTORIAL
It's either His is dancing in public or crying or posing like one yoppy gangster. His extrovertish temperament seem to be having a negative toll on him.
Not even the Honourable Commissioner for Information and Culture can explain why Ayade cried last week. Hmmmm!
But, is the Governor actually embarrassing Cross Riverians?
