Two Cross Riverians, namely, social commentator Simon Utsu and poet Ukung Iye Alawa have been known to be rooting for Cee-C, a current housemate at the Big Brother Naija 2018 House. For Utsu, granted that Cee-C has been controversial, but, she's been herself unlike the 'level' seeking Miracle. On her part, Alawa said that she loves Cee-C for making solitude look beautiful despite having reservations about her mouthiness.
Nigerian ladies leave fine boy ‘pilot’ and support your fellow lady for once! —Simon Utsu
I like the momentum CeeCee is gathering in the big brother house even as the show has entered its penultimate week.
I’m not a fan per se but I think she deserves the prize money more than the fake gwongworo pilot. His face doesn’t ring a bell with regular fliers or does it. I’ve also asked a couple of people I know working with Bristow and Caverton helicopters and they don’t know him. So pray tell, which aircraft does Mr Miracle fly? Edo airways? Abeg leave levels!
And Nigerian ladies, please learn to do your homework well so as not to fall for cheap lines. That’s how someone selling “O” cooking gas and turkey vegetable oil will toast you with “I work in oil and gas sector” line and you’ll fall yakata!
Albeit CeeCee has been very controversial but she is being herself. Remember how last season’s winner, Efe pretended to be real and homely like Miracle is doing currently? The so called humble Warri dude has since gone out of control and has been telling those who voted for him that they don’t have any right to tell him what to do in they entertainment industry! What a hydra-headed insolent being! Tis akin to a president telling those who voted him into power that he isn’t in anyway answerable to them! Gaddem! Nigerian ladies leave fine boy ‘pilot’ 🐷and support your fellow lady for once!
I watched also how she made solitude look beautiful and I envy her strength in the face of "she against the world". —Ukung Iye Alawa.
For over 7 weeks I caught a glimpse of my life in the body of a total stranger. How I have watched keenly and learnt how much people misunderstand others and are quick to judge.
I watched also how she made solitude look beautiful and I envy her strength in the face of "she against the world".
No, my life isn't totally like her, Because unlike her I would sneak back to my shelf and rather not exchange words. But in Alot of ways I can relate to everything she says, feels, believes, stands for.
I haven't just watched, I have also seen growth and self development.
I had always nursed the fear of how the world will react knowing that people like Us exist, people who cannot totally show emotions but still feel
People who have opinions and are not afraid to show.
People who come off as always angry and mean. People who enjoy solitude but still have pure hearts.
But I've come to know now that too many people will judge and misunderstand and throw stones and crucify but Alot others will love you through all these stages and appreciate your originality.
Most especially, people like me are out there, they exist and they are unapologetically living their lives.
She wins or not, I am stuck and I love, love, love Cee-ce. And oh, For all its worth, I stand with Cee-ce
#girlslikeme.
