Months after securing full accreditation for academic activities in the School of Nursing, Ogoja, the School of Midwifery Calabar recorded a 95.7% pass for the first time ever in the just concluded School of Nursing and Midwifery Council Examinations, emerging among the best rated.
The principal of the School, Mrs. Edum Tansian said: "I'm happy that our effort is not in vain. This goes a long way to say that whatever the State Government and the World Health Organization (WHO) did have been very well utilized by the students and staff."
In her remarks, the Honorable Commissioner for Health, Dr. Inyang Asibong said: "This shows the level of dedication and commitment from the State Government, the school authority and the students. We're happy that more Nurse Educators were recently employed by the State Government, as the Governor Ayade led administration continues to work assiduously not only in securing full accreditation for our schools, but also in producing seasoned nursing and healthcare professionals for the State workforce."
The students expressed their gratitude to the World Health Organization and the State Government who were both very instrumental in the success following their various contributions in terms of equipment donations and human capital development.
