Reliable information reaching our news desk has it that officers of the Nigerian Police, yesterday, did arrest 12 cultists who left Calabar with arms to cause mayhem in the bye election slated for August 11, tomorrow.
This photograph here was taken and made public by Mr George Odok, a defense correspondent with News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) yesterday.
While this picture has inspired suspicion against the police, it's been learnt the Police confirmed they are cultists: particularly, two of them have been on their wanted list and were caught with firing arms.
It will be recalled that sequel to the death of Rt. Hon. Stephen Ukpukpen on May 2018, the Obudu State Constituency seat at the 8th Cross River State House of Assembly has been declared vacant.
Let's give peace a chance in Obudu by-election, please. If you kill us, to whom will you be of service to? Nigerian Youth should demonstrate intelligence and shun violence!
