Never has devolopment, change, progress come to a people plagued with disunity. One of the factors that has stamped down the occurance of a revolution in a country that has moved from bad to worse is ethnicity and religious loyalty.
ETHNIC/RELIGIOUS LOYALTY
A bloody revolution can't work in a multi religious, multi ethnic country like Nigeria as it will quickly lead to civil war. Even then, the key challenges facing the nation will not be addressed because the problem this country faces is not merely corruption but a system that allows corruption prevail. If we can alter this system then we will go a long way to improving productivity and reducing corruption.

Since the marriage of separate peoples and nations to satisfy the appetites of our colonial priest, Nigeria is yet to know peace, unity or progress. In fact, ignorance, timidity and civic apathy has made Nigerians disunited as the word disunited. And as such, we’re no where near progress.

Nigeria since 1914 has been moving from one problem to the other, that today, at 57 and nearing 58, she is still a toddler that has refused to crawl in every respect. I completely disagree with those who even have it that we have made baby steps from the onset. For if we truly have been making baby steps, we should have been somewhere far from nowhere.

Our stature as the giant of Africa is an affront on our endowments. Instead of a giant; an aspiration that she has always pretended to, she remains a midget when talking about development.

“The only achievement on the plains of unity, which Nigeria has recorded, is that the country like a rotten cadaver has been able to unite all the vultures and scavengers of all tribes, tongues and nations both within Nigeria and without. International thieves of all colors and trans-tribal bandits of all shades have found a foothold in this banquet of greed, where Nigeria is laid out to be cannibalized, torn apart, ripped asunder and carted off to satisfy the lewd avarice of these parasitic actors. That is the only achievement that Nigeria has recorded; and it is on the disreputable and infamous parts of the ledger.”- Sahara reporters.

I'll end with the words of Edu Etukakpan which says "there's no unity of purpose in our collective national daily endeavours, because, poverty, greed and selfishness had come to erode the prestine African communalism, and replaced it with individualism; where a particular tribe / religion wants to be taller than another".
