8 October 2019
The Deputy Governor of Cross River state, Prof. Ivara Ejemot Esu has yet again defied the wisdom of the sage by walking to the lectern of a church auditorium with his Aide-De-Camp NEGROIDHAVEN can say authoritatively.
Yesterday, at the Assemblies of God Church located at Ndidem Usang Iso Road, Calabar during the official opening of the 2019/2020 Legal year, where he represented the state governor as special guest at a thanksgiving service, Prof Esu walked up the church lectern with an ADC.

Recall that on the 9th of June this year, Eyo O. Ekpo Esq the former gubernatorial candidate of the Social Democratic Party SDP in the state in the 2019 general elections had queried why Esu a Presbyterian Church of Nigeria elder would mount the lectern of the Presbyterian Church of Nigeria with his ADC. Particularly, Ekpo asked : ‘… to protect him against what?’
Ekpo’s words in part : Esu ‘… is an Elder of the Presbyterian Church of Nigeria and Hope Waddell is his Parish. In other words, he was standing at the lectern of his home Parish Church. Yet, he walked up to that lectern with his ADC and let the poor fellow stand there behind him. To protect him against what?’
Who’s right or wrong here?
