Akamkpa–The University of Education and Entrepreneurship (UEE), Akamkpa, has elevated twenty (20) Chief Lecturers to the prestigious rank of Associate Professor. This significant development was announced by the Vice Chancellor, Professor Patrick Nyong Asuquo, during the inaugural Senate meeting of the institution held on Friday NEGROIDHAVEN has confirmed.
The elevation followed a rigorous external review process that spanned several weeks, signaling the university’s commitment to academic excellence and merit-based advancement.
According to the university’s Senior Information Officer, Mr. Agbor Francis A., the promotion marks a defining moment in UEE’s journey toward building a robust academic profile. “The elevation of 20 seasoned scholars to the rank of Associate Professor is not only a testament to their dedication and competence but also a milestone for the University of Education and Entrepreneurship in its commitment to strengthening scholarship,” Mr. Agbor stated.

In addition to the promotion exercise, the University held elections for Senate and Council representation. Four Associate Professors were elected to represent the Senate in Council:
– Assoc. Prof. Eunice Nsor
– Assoc. Prof. Marcelina Edu
– Assoc. Prof. Ugbe Ugbe
– Assoc. Prof. Tandu Egbe Ojong
Further, elections were also conducted for representation in the University Council by members of Congregation and Convocation. The elected representatives include:
– Mrs. Edom Itam – representing Congregation (Academic Staff)
– Comrade Owan Harold-Joe Ebam – representing Congregation (Non-Academic Staff)
