The Cross River State Government, under the leadership of Governor Bassey Edet Otu, is delivering on its promise of infrastructure renewal with significant road construction projects across the state NEGROIDHAVEN has confirmed.
In Yakurr Local Government Area, the people of Ugep are celebrating the revitalization of the long-abandoned Nko Street and Okoi Obla Street near Onitcha South Park. The streets are undergoing major earthworks and road construction, signaling a new era of development for the community. This initiative is part of Governor Otu’s vision to improve the quality of life for residents and drive economic activities in the region.
In Calabar South, Governor Otu has also embarked on the reconstruction of Mbukpa Lane, Ikono Street, and Lincoln Street. These roads, critical to daily commuting and local businesses, are being transformed to ease movement and boost trade.
Additionally, the governor recently commissioned a fully completed 2-kilometre internal access road at the Nigerian Air Force Base in Calabar. The project underscores the administration’s commitment to enhancing infrastructure for both civilian and military communities in the state.
