A police officer has been reportedly knocked to death by heavy duty truck at the Awi section of Odukpani-Akamkpa Federal highway.
The incident which happened on Thursday in the morning saw the Commissioner for Tourism Development, Eric Anderson, intercepting the fleeing truck driver.
The knockdown police officer was found laying lifelessly on the ground with another police officer dragging a suspected driver of the killer truck.
In a phone call put across to the Police Public Relations Officer, SP Irene Ugbo, she said she is yet to be aware of such a development as at press time.
