Three days ago, popular OAP Diana Mary Nsan, who vied to represent Nigerians of Ikom State Constituency at the Cross River State House of Assembly, CRSHA, announced she will be defecting from the Social Democratic Party, SDP, to a party she planned to announce yesterday 25th December NEGROIDHAVEN can say authoritatively.
While eulogising Cross River SDP guber candidate, Eyo O. Ekpo, she said ‘I thank the SDP for giving me platform. I must forge ahead in my political endeavors. I will announce the party I am moving to on the 25th of December. I had long made up my mind to move to this party, shortly after the last elections, and I told my boss Eyo O. Ekpo.
Continuing Nsan said, ‘Eyo Ekpo Esq, I could never be more proud of a leader as I am of you. You are the leader to be desired. Your exceptional leadership which is built on values and genuine intentions gives me solace, that there are still great men. No matter the party you belong sir, remember that party aside you are a valuable personality I genuinely want to work with. Thank you sir for being the shoulders I stood on in my first attempt at politics.’
Writing earlier, Nsan said she had made up her mind to be actively involved in politics. According to her, ‘I made up my mind years ago to be actively involved in politics… Remember that we must be in the system for the status quo desire.’
Nsan’s move may be one of the deliberate strategies to recontest during the general elections come 2023.
