Comr Akpo Pius Undie, a two hundred level Ph.D candidate of the Department of Political Science, Thursday, emerged the president-elect of the Post Graduate Students Government (PGSG) of the University of Calabar (UNICAL), beating Comr Sixtus Emori Lebo, Barr Esu Ekanem, and Comr Ogar Christopher NegroidHaven can report authoritatively.
The election which was adjudged to be peaceful commenced 11.03AM and ending 7.25AM, saw Akpo having an overall votes of 147, Comr Lebo having 134 votes, Barr Esu Ekanem having 134 votes while Comr Ogar Christopher had 61.
Other members-elect of the PGSG EXCO are Asuquo Nyakno (Vice president), Gladus Effa (Treasurer), Etim Akan(Financial secretary), etc.
Comr Lebo, sibling to the Speaker of the 8th Cross River State House of Assembly, was the nearest in votes to Akpo.
