Gov. Ben Ayade of Cross River State, AIG Joseph Mbu (retired), Sen. John Owan Enoh and others are expected to speak at the fourth coming 2019 election conference organized by Cross River Youths in Politics and Good Governance.
The state conference is centered to discuss on the 2019 general elections, way forward and security of the electorates during the polls.
The event, which is aimed at creating a synergy between the youths and political leaders in the state, is scheduled to hold on April 28 by 9 AM at the INEC conference hall in Calabar.
Mr Julius Kijuo, Chairman of CRYIP, said that the event was propelled from the decision of the youths to reduce election crisis inspite of their different political parties.
Kijuo said that the event would also enlightened the youths on the need to get their PVCs ahead of the polls, adding that they can only vote for candidates of their choices with their PVCs.
"The event would also create a linkage between our youths and the political class
"Our main partner in this event is INEC because the commission is saddled with the responsibility of conducting elections for the country", he said.
Other dignitaries to grace the event include, Dr Frankland Briyai, the INEC Resident Electoral Commissioner in Cross River State, Senator Rose Oko, Hon. Mike Etaba, Hon. Legor Idagbor, Hon. Jarigbe Agom, Hon. Daniel Asuqou, Hon. John Gaul Lebo, Hon. Joseph Bassey, Hon. Hilary Bisong, Prince Edward Goodwill, Hon. Yakubu Shendam amongst others.
