Cross River State House of Assembly gave clearance for Ayade to access 20 billion naira bond specifically to aid the government finance projects and programmes like the Deep seaport, super highway and haulage city. The clearance to access the loan followed the approval of the report of an adhoc committee led by Honorable Eteng Jones Williams (PDP Yakurr 2) presented on the floor of the house during plenary on Wednesday.
It is to be noted that most of the Ben Ayade's project were fashioned for embezzlement of funds and as a conduit pipe to drain the state income. These projects like the Super High Way, and Deep Seaport are solely completed in bill boards and news report from AIT, Channels TV and NTA. The reality of work on ground shows that the Super High Way have been abandoned even after the government got a conditional EIA. In fact the only thing that announces the Super High way today is the grasses that have turns the place to a forest.
It is to be recalled that Ayade's campaign has suffered some setbacks after EFCC arrested Frank Ayade with billions of naira. Ayade has got another opportunity to waste state funds and leave the state in hasher debt condition.
