Ahead of the City Walk tagged "AyadeCityWalk" to mark the 2017 World Science Day for Peace And Development in Cross River State slated for today, Friday, 10th November, 2017 an initiative of Cross River State Political Network, CRISPON in partnership with the Office of the Special Adviser to the Governor of Cross River State on Student Affairs and Youth Mobilization, some executives of Cross River State Political Network, CRISPON and the Director General who doubles as Special Adviser to the Governor of Cross River, Prince Michael Nku Abuo, JP paid a courtesy visit to His Excellency, Prof Ivara Esu, the Deputy Governor of Cross River State to brief him of the significance of the said event.
The Director General CRISPON in his remarks explained to the Deputy Governor that the said date was chosen to be celebrated by the organization in the state in order to present to the youths of the state an ICON in the duo of him and the Governor as products of scientific pursuits while asking them to be studious, innovative, enterprising, embrace/promote peace, promote good governance and advocate against social vices.
The Deputy Commissioner of Police Operations, CRS Mr A A Makadi also received briefing from a section of the planning committee as regards the event and promised the provision of security operatives. Ahead of the walk the final premobilization meeting held yesterday, 8th November, 2017 at U. J Esuene Stadium with over 5000 youths in attendance from across the 18 LGAs in Cross River State.
The #AyadeCityWalk will be declared open by His Excellency, Prof Ivara Esu, the Deputy Governor of Cross River State today, 10th November, 2017 at Efio-Ette Round About at 10am prompt.
Youths participating are expected to be on their white polo/shirt and blue Jean.
