A News Agency Nigeria (NAN) correspondent in Cross River State, Mr George Odok Jnr, has faulted Dr Godwin Igile’s Cross River State Water Board Ltd management inability to spell an 8 letters word, ‘portable’ recently. Odok has linked the inability of state Water Board to even spell correctly to the failure of the institution to provide water in the state.
According to Odok’s thread on  social media titled, ‘No wonder we don’t have water in Calabar’ he said that, ‘The management of water board brought out a wide banner to announce a one day town hall meeting without spelling correctly the word ‘Portable’. In the text inside the banner,  the word ‘Portable’ is spelled ‘Potable’.
‘Could it be that the Chairman of water board and the MD did not read through the text before it was printed?’, he queried.
See the ‘potable’ in the banner… So disappointing!

Continuing, Odok said ‘A water board that cannot provide ‘portable’ water for residents in the state is that one a water board? No wonder we don’t have ‘portable’ drinking water in Calabar’.
On Thursday 12th October, a One Day Town Hall Meeting ‘On Water Supply in Cross River State’, held at the Pearl Ball Hall, Transcorp Hotels, Calabar about 10AM. Whatever Dr Godwin Igile told Cross Riverians may be inconsequential as what we need is flowing water not ‘town hall water’. Period!
