The Commissioner for Youth and Sports Development, Comrade Asu Okang has stated that giving back to society has an attached blessing that is immeasurable and cannot be overemphasized NegroidHaven can report. 
Comrade Okang who made the assertion during a courtesy call on him by the class of 2000 alumni of Federal Government College (FGC), Ikom noted that it is important to give back to society as a sign of appreciation to God for His blessings and to help alleviate the sufferings of the less privileged.
Urging Cross Riverians to increase their giving back to society, Comrade Okang averred that the value of what is given is not measured by how much that is given, but by how willingly the gesture was made, adding that the project donated to FGC Ikom in a very long time to come would speak for the class of 2000 while commending their gesture of giving back to their alma mater.
The Youth and Sports boss appreciated the FGC Ikom class of 2000 for the visit and invitation to unveil the completed project, charging them to eschew mischief and hold firm to God while casting their minds back to where they came from, how far they have gone and what providence has in store for them.
He further charged them to always be true ambassadors of the Federal Government College, holding fast to her passion and continuing to fly the flag higher.
Speaking earlier, the coordinator, Calabar Zone, FGC Ikom Class of 2000, Mr. Dennis Ekpo congratulated the Commissioner on his appointment and commended his ingenuity and doggedness in handling matters affecting the Youths of Cross River State, describing him as efficient, vibrant and a pride to the great FGC Ikom.
Mr. Ekpo informed that the class of 2000 from the FGC Ikom had earlier in the reunion of all its members all over the country, held in Calabar, opted to do a complete renovation of the school clinic, which has successfully been completed and awaiting unveiling. He formally invited Comrade Okang who is also an alumni of FGC Ikom for the unveiling of the project slated to hold on 13th October, 2017 at the school premises while soliciting for support to fully equip the clinic with more equipment for effective service delivery.
The visit featured the rendition of the FGC School Anthem by Comrade Okang and the FGC Ikom Class of 2000 and a group photograph.
