In fighting in PDP will continue to factionalize the Party until President Jonathan steps up and galvanize the leadership to respect a single authority.
For the past 16 years, PDP was synonymous with the federal government. The governors were supreme in the 16 year rule, the governors decided who got appointment from their states both at federal and Party levels.
Why the party is in fracas today is because a leadership vacuum has been created with the loss of the party at the center and more importantly, Jonathan abandoning the party to pursue his international public image remediation rubbished by corruption allegations.
The party had plans to win elections and rule in perpetuity, they had no plan to loose and be an opposition party. The only way PDP can rise again is for the likes of Jonathan, Obasanjo Aneni and Lamido to call the entire party to order.
The time they should have used to form a credible opposition and help strengthen our democracy, rather they use it fighting amongst themselves, going to court and displaying their laundry in public.
It's time we have a credible opposition, founded on the platform of ideas, that's the way forward for Nigeria. Mainwhile APC leadership is having a field day after her elections honeymoon. To make Nigeria great again, is a task that must be done irrespective of the political divide you belong.
