International development consultant, political scientist and social entrepreneur, Mr Princewill Odidi, Sunday, charged Nigerians not to permit ethnicity and religion define them NegroidHaven can say.
Odidi who is based in the Atlanta, Georgia said that Nigerians should judge themselves based on character while praying that the citizenry get to the level of social cohesion irrespective of the dividing lines of ethnicity.
His words, 'In Nigeria, let us not allow ethnicity and religion define us, let us judge one another based on the content of our character. It is our prayer that Nigeria gets to this level of accommodating one another irrespective of ethnic groups. We won't allow hate win.'
Odidi made his mind known while articulating his ideas about white supremacy under the tag:, 'America is burning' and comparing it with ethnicity in Africa. According to him, white supremacists hate based on differences in pigmentation whereas an ethnic jingoist hate because of diversity of language: 'For one, you hate somebody because of his color and for another you hate somebody because of his language. Both are anti civility. We should always resist leaders who will always define us based on ethnic differences.'

Continuing he said,'there are group of Americans who refer to themselves as white supremacist. They believe that the white man is superior to the black man and other races.
'Most white supremacist don't like mingling with people who are not white. They actually get angry if people of other color excel in anything.
'Some white supremacist would not even be comfortable to touch a Blackman or enter the same elevator with a black person.
'In 2009, I boarded a flight to Europe. The guy behind me was a white supremacist, it was a full flight, unfortunately for him, his co passenger sharing a flight seat with him was a black guy.
'When he walked into the plane, he requested a change of seat, unfortunately the flight was over booked and no one was ready to swap seat with him. Mid air  in the Atlantic he couldn't stand it again, he started screaming until someone volunteered his seat for a swap. It is difficult to explain if they are born this way to hate other colors'.
Odidi said Nigerians won't allow hate win.
