C/River set to export rice

The government Of Cross River State is set to export rice from its ultra modern rice mill, Ogoja Rice Mill, starting May next year. This was disclosed to newsmen recently by the state’s Director General of Due Process, Mr. Alphonsus Eba while on a post-procurement review tour to the site of the mill. 
The Mill which construction was flagged off last November by the Governor, Professor Ben Ayade, according to the Director-General, is fully automated and is the first of its kind in Africa. The governor while performing the ground breaking ceremony told newsmen that the facility would add value to the whole production chain. He further revealed that the mill would add vitamins to rice for better health of the consumers.
The mill is fully conceptualised and is being executed by the Ayade Administration as part of its rice revolution. The mill according to Mr Alphonsus would generate 10,000 direct employment. 
The project manager, Mr. Agbonate, disclosed that everything has been paid for. He assured of the ability of his company to deliver on time. He further disclosed that the mill has capacity of 5 tons per hour.
