Bobby A Ilam, a Nigerian with American citizenship has admired the peaceful and orderly electioneering process in his constituency in the United States of America, precisely the State of New Jersey NegroidHaven has learnt.
Ilam who advised that fans of politicians canvassing for votes shouldn’t embark on extreme measures to demonstrate their loyalty to their aspiring public officers said that he was forced to think of the electioneering in the state of New Jersey because of the orderliness. He particularly highlighted the fact that there were no gun shot, no hijacking of ballot box, no financial inducements and his list continues.
According to Ilam, ‘Don’t kill yourself for our political leaders for the sake of loyalty. I just voted for my next leaders for the State of New Jersey (NJ).
‘What got me thinking is the orderliness of the whole process. No gun shut (sic), no ballots hijacked, no fighting of that kind, money never changed hands, was all about your interest and their antecedents.
‘Let me blow your mind, those in charge of the entirety are age mothers (grannies)’, he concluded.
One can readily appreciate Ilam’s quandary especially considering where he comes from, Nigeria, and the way we go about our election. We all know that in Nigeria the reverse of —’No gun shut (sic), no ballots hijacked, no fighting of that kind, money never changed hands, was all about your interest and their antecedents.’ would be the order.
Hmm! But, I still dream of better days!
