Information reaching our news desk hours ago affirms that
Pastor Enoch Adejare Adeboye of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG) popularly and fondly called "Daddy G.O" has appointed a new General Overseer for the Redeemed Christian Church of God in Nigeria.
According to our source, the 74 year old clergyman, appointed one of his close aide, Pastor Joseph Obayemi, to seat in his place as overseer for all RCCG churches in Nigeria.
Pst. Obayemi was before this noble exaltation, the deputy in charge of Finance and a member of governing council of the fast growing denominational Church.
Our correspondence garnered that Daddy E.A Adeboye, made the announcement during the church’s annual thanksgiving held at the 3km new auditorium today 7th January 2016, some hours ago.
As a result of the 'Positional metarmorphosis', Pastor J.F Odesola will with immediate effect now seat as the church's Secretary while Pastor J.A. Adeyokunnu is now automatically the new Treasurer.
Eminent personalities and witnesses who graced the thanksgiving service were Vice President Yemi Osibajo and other Senior Pastors of the Church.
For record purpose, Pastor Enoch A. Adeboye was appointed the presiding pastor of RCCG worldwide in 1981, as a successor to taking late Papa Akindayomi of blessed memory.
