Recently, there was a reportage of a fire incident in the University of Jos, on Saturday 8th of october.
There disaster was enormous as it razed the Major parts of the University's Library Complex, Naraguta Campus.

Our source alleged that the fire adversely affected the main Library in the Complex, the Faculty of Social Sciences and some Departments in the Faculty of Management Sciences respectively and consequently destroyed the stacked packs of answer scripts for the previous semester exams, written by the students.

The Registrar, Monday M. Danjem as a result of the unfortunate incidence, issued a statement announcing that after due consultations, the Senate council of the University has approved the immediate resumption of the already postponed First Semester Examinations for the year ending  2015/2016 Session.

The Senate council members  regrets that strain that would result from such action on the part of the students.

An excerpt of the memo as  published reads:

"All Students whose Faculties were affected by the fire incident are advised to liaise with their respective Heads of Department who will direct them appropriately on the Halls where they are expected to write their Examinations."

"All such affected Students are also to please note that all First Semester 2015/2016 Session Examinations earlier written but which Answer Scripts were burnt during the inferno, will now be rescheduled to a later date to be communicated to them by their respective Heads of Department."
The students who were nonplussed about how to shoulder this obnoxious hurdle expressed their grievances against the educational system to which they informed is porous and in secured.
