STOP THE MADNESS
I am distraught by the outbreak of violence between my community Akparabong and our neighbour Bendeghe Ekiem.
Both communities are kindred with many families embedded, including mine, in both. Two of my elder sisters are married in Bendeghe Ekiem.
This madness of violence is totally needless, inexplicable and I condemn it in no uncertain terms.
Both communities must rein in their youth and let peace reign. Never in my life have I heard that either community raised its hand against the other. Certainly not now.
The security forces and the leadership of both communities must ensure that the situation is brought under control immediately.
