Antonio Conte who has been remarkable for the past three EPL matches with his new formation of 3-4-3, witnessed a disappointing exit at London rivals West-Ham. Chelsea suffered a 2-1 defeat, the one goal coming late in the 94minutes from Gary Cahill, but it was only a consolation to Chelsea.
The defeat sees them out of the EFL. Conte made six changes to the side that defeated Man United, but the same formation. But it showed clearly the inexperienced young lads could not matched the quality and resilience of their London rivals. Chalobah, Aina, Batshuayi, John Terry, Oscar and Wlliam, were the faces introduced to the new system of Antonio Conte.
Meanwhile, on the Manchester derby between Man United and Man City, Mourinho had the better of his rivals, as he eliminated them out of the EFL also. The second meeting between the pair of Jose and Pep at Old Trafford since taking charge of both teams.
Both teams featured a strong side, and pride and ego was at stake, as both were willing to win at all cost. Thanks to the second half goal from Juan Mata which gave United the win.
