Manchester United triggered the ridiculous buyout clause of French midfielder Paul Pogba at the request of Jose Mourinho and he is yet to live up to expectation.

He has come to England, a place and League where obviously the media will count every seconds and minutes of your performances. He was criticized by his lack of effectiveness and involvement to the game against noisy neighbours Manchester City which Manchester United lost at home.

Paul Pogba fee no doubt has raised eye brows, and for a fee of such magnitude, he needs to hit the ground running with no time wasting, covering spaces, making intersections, breaking play and delivering killer passes to open up defense.

Pep Guardiola prior to the game against United, reckon the treat and dreaded the danger and damage he can cause because if his terrifying and dominating influence on the game. Pep said of Zlatan; "He is a great player, and great player waste no time to adapt". And thats what Zlatan is doing, adapting so well, and waste no time in scoring goals he is known for despite coming from a different League entirely.

Zlatan who was signed as a free agent, undoubtedly is the best transfer of the season so far, and even had to take a pay cut to join United. He still wants to win and challenge for titles, he loves adventure and still craves for more laurels. He wins wherever he goes, he scores and delivers as expected of him.

He has thus come out to defend his team mate Paul Pogba, and fend off the pressure critics are trying to put on Paul, as he calls them jealous.

The Swede was quoted by Eurosport as saying: "All the jealous people who talk about him will swallow all of the words they have said about him. He will only improve and will get everyone behind him."

Zlatan also told SFR Sport: "My relationship with Paul is easy: I speak, he listens. Paul is a player with a lot of talent.

"Now, you have to be realistic: people are putting a lot of pressure on Paul. His transfer created a huge amount of buzz.

"I didn't know Paul before and, now that I do, I can tell you he's someone who works enormously. He really wants to improve and he has a super attitude. But you mustn't forget he's young. That's all I can say."

He really wants to improve, he is still young. Such a statement for the World's most expensive signing '£89.3m', lacks cohesion, meaning the much hyped Paul isn't worth the crazy fee at the first place. Of such a fee should be spent on already built, established player, who needs no time to prove and improve himself. He also needs no motivation, just as Mourinho said of Zlatan, that needs no motivation because already he is self motivated.

The ridiculous fee for Pogba, will continuously spark and flame criticism from media as they would be watching to see him deliver, and make the difference for United. Zlatan should never hope the critics will stop, and the time keepers of his bit by bit performances will stop either. Paul must find his feet and hit the ground running, aspire to be the man to make the difference for United.

Will Paul ever play to justify and put up a performance that justifies his transfer fee?
