Betta Edu presenting insecticide treated nets to head of Hausa community

Dr Betta Edu who who was accompanied by Dr Ana Dir PHC, Mrs Felicia Eyaba, State Immunization Officer, Mr Jeff Adadame, Executive Director, Mediatrix Development Foundation who represented the Wife of the Governor, Dr Linda Ayade today reached out to the delightful Muslim community to commiserate with them over their festive celebration.
The DG used the opportunity to enlightened the Muslim community on the State Health Insurance scheme signed into law by His Excellency Sen.Prof. Ben Ayade (AyadeCare) and also the Hunt Malaria Initiative of Her Excellency Dr Linda Ayade. She informed them that the scheme will enable everyone afford any kind of healthcare service the need from the state without leading to catastrophic health Expenditures. Dr Edu called for the Muslim community to continue supporting the present administration which is poised to delivered on their promises.
"Our mother, mother of all Cross Riverians, Her Excellency, Dr (Mrs) Linda Ayade through her pet project Mediatrix Development Foundation is supporting the state health team to reduce maternal mortality in the state. She advices that our pregnant women go to health centrts for ANC and deliver.she has asked us to distribute long lasting insecticide treated mosquito nets as part of Hunt Malaria initiative to end malaria for good in CRS. Today we decided to dine, eat, listen to your health challenges, solve it and celebrate with you. More of these are coming and we will continue partnering with the muslim and hausa community in CRS to make them healthier said the DG.
"Her Excellency, Dr Linda Ayade is happy to partner with the Cross River State Primary Health Care Development Agency to celebrate with you today as we distribute mosquito nets and conduct free malaria test for children and mothers said Mr Jeffrey Adamade, ED MDF.
High point of the visit was the free RDT Malaria test and distribution of over 1000 Long Lasting Insecticide Treated Mosquito Nets.
The Head of the Hausa Community said "this is indeed a big Salah for us. We have never had government in Cross River come to celebrate Sallah with us in this form. We thank Governor Ben Ayade and His wife Dr Linda Ayade for all this wonderful gifts. We have prayed for them and Cross River State yesterday and we continue to pray that peotect and guide them aright. We will continue to thank the Governor for the peace and security we enjoy in Cross River, we will support and fully participate in Ayade Care. Baraka the Sallah"
Othe members of the Hausa community expressed happiness and gratitude to the Governor and DG PHCDA for the show of love. Promising to support the government to do more.
