It has all been down, recession and trough in the business cycle world, as jumping inflation hits the Nigerian economy and CPI (Consumer Price Index) hits rocket high.
It has even become a challenge to afford two square meals per day for families not to talk of three. And as a result, even food items has been used to described our Mr President and his Vice. Items such as Tea without milk and sugar (Buhari). And when you go to a shop and ask for Buhari and Osinbanjo then you are been given groundnut and garri.
But regardless of these economic hardship, some persons still lives the life of luxury and extravagant spending, which of course tends to abnormal demand curve, defiling the law of demand where; "the higher the price, the higher the quantity demanded."
A couple was spotted having their wedding over last weekend at Shop Rite Ibadan. Something that would possible halt activities for the day. Something that could possible leaves jaw dropping as regards the fees to be paid to rent such place for event of this magnitude in such a time at this economic recession. Could it be all for the fun, luxury, the show of pride, money and elegance or is it simply 'penny wise pound foolish?'
It is yet to be confirmed the actual fact to this show of class, money and power.
